If you live close to a river or a dam be sure to have flood insurance. Some places in Oregon require flood insurance on property. Most home owner’s insurance policies do not cover flood insurance. Check your business or home for damage and get only valuable items out. Never return to a flooded area until local law enforcement allows you back in. After looking for damage you can contact the local emergency management Agency and find out options or contractors that qualified to work on buildings.

Take pictures of the water damage, this may be required to send to an insurance company. Get the repairs done as soon as possible to prevent a complete loss of property or buildings.
