If your basement windows are flush with the ground you should check the frame as well. Blowing debris can hit the window and push it loose without cracking the glass. Remember that the worst damage happens when the water sits against the walls. If you have a floor drain, be sure that it is unobstructed. The floor will be sloped in to the drain.
